NC Retired School Personnel is an organization composed of retired educators from the western region of North Carolina referred to as District I.

NCRSP provides members with information about

  • State Retirement Pension System and the State Health Plan and other retiree issues.

NCRSP actively encourages members to give to their communities by promoting

  • Volunteer service in schools and community organizations.

  • supports competitive salary scale for active educators

To Members of the North Carolina General Assembly:

District I Legislative Committee

Legislative Stump Meetings have been held in Macon, Haywood, Graham, and Asheville/Buncombe and in Hendersonville.

Legislators have been pleased to meet with their constituents in their legislative districts this year.

Thanks to the District I Legislative Committee for their coordination of these meetings!

Lake Junaluska District I meeting on May 7 enjoyed guest speaker, Gibbs Knotts from WCU on being politically active, the how-to's for local units. In addition, Rep. Ray Rapp, Rep. Phil Haire, and Senator Joe Sam Queen talked with members regarding the upcoming GA Short Session beginning May 12.
